Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all Courses both Online Courses and/ or Classroom Courses provided by Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited (company number 14241299) of Unit 8, 73 St Charles Square, W10 6EJ.

We reserve the right to change these terms from time to time without prior notice to students, provided that any such change will not affect any purchases students have made before the change is implemented.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing an Online Course and/or Classroom Course.
The Courses
A description of the Courses along with the schedule on which the Courses will begin are all available on our website. We will provide the Courses with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the description set out on our website.
We reserve the right to change or withdraw any of the Courses described on the website without notice.
Paying for and/or attending a Course fully does not guarantee that students will obtain an appropriate result, professional qualification or employment opportunity from purchase and completion of any of the Courses.
Where a Course has stated prerequisites, in order to enrol students must confirm that they have the required prerequisites.
By confirming that they have the prerequisites and we have accepted the offer to purchase Courses from us, students shall then receive an email confirming the purchase and stated confirmation of meeting the prerequisites of the Course. If subsequently it is found a student does not have the required prerequisites of the Course they will not be able to start the Course and may lose any payments they have made.

Cancellations
Course related fees and deposits can only be refunded in full if a Course is cancelled by Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited.
Deposits and Course fees, kits or examinations cannot be refunded in the case of illness, change of work, relocation, personal problems, visa issues or any other reason that may mean a student has to leave or cancel their Course.
If a student has purchased an Online Course and has already accessed, downloaded all or part of the Online Course and/or started to use that Online Course then they have no right to cancel their purchase.
If a student has purchased a Classroom Course and has already attended all or part of the Classroom Course and/or started, used and/or received training materials associated with the Classroom Course then they have no right to cancel their purchase.
Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited will use all sufficient means to deliver the Courses as described. However, if there are insufficient enrolments to make a Classroom or Online Course viable, we may be forced to cancel the Course. If a student has purchased any Course, Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited will notify them as soon as possible and will use reasonable endeavours to provide a suitable replacement Course. If the student decides not to take the replacement Course or if there is no replacement Course available, they are entitled to cancel the purchase of the Course without any liability for fees.
Fees
The Fees for the Courses shall be as described on the Website or as told over the telephone or in person at the time an order is placed . Payment can be made in full at the time of enrolment.
Fees can also be paid with a deposit which will then be deducted from the total Course fee. The student is liable to pay the balance of the total fee for the Course, upon the confirmation of this enrolment. This must be paid no later than seven days prior to attending any Classroom Course or accessing any Online Course. Failure to do so will forfeit their place on the Course.
Additional costs may be incurred in relation to Course Kits, Uniforms and any other specified costs payable in respect of the delivery of the Course. These costs will be specified on the Website or told via telephone or in person prior to purchase of the Courses.
Course fees can be paid in instalment options under discretional circumstances, subject to the approval of Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited.
If Course fees are not paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms, we reserve the right to withdraw any offer, cancel an accepted place on a Course, exclude from any exam, assessment, or reassessment, leave assessment or reassessment unmarked, or withhold assessment or reassessment results and materials for a students Course.
Courses purchased using finance options are eligible for a 14-day ‘Cooling Off’ period, starting from the agreed date of booking. This period expires after 14 days or upon redemption of any part of the booking, such as attending a training day or receiving kits. If you fail to provide at least 72 hours’ written notice prior to a booked training course of non-attendance, it will be considered a no-show, thereby expiring the cooling-off period as if the course was attended.
Students are responsible for any and all costs incurred in relation to their attendance at any Classroom Courses or access onto any Online Course.
Code of Conduct
All students will be required to practice on and receive treatments from other students. If models are required for practical assessments this will then be the responsibility of the student to bring along.
All students are required to disclose any medical conditions or learning difficulties prior to enrolment, which will be dealt with in strict confidence. Adjustments where possible, will be made to accommodate medical conditions or learning difficulties that may impede ability to participate fully within a Course.
Students are required to wear a suitable beauty uniform to training / assessment dates. This includes a tunic, plain black trousers and smart closed flat black shoes.
Nails should be short and clean, hair should be neatly tied back. Eyelash and Nail extensions should be removed where appropriate and personal hygiene should be maintained to a suitable standard. For health and safety purposes, all jewellery and piercings should be removed.
Students are required to behave in a professional and courteous manner towards fellow peers and staff members. Improper behaviour, including but not limited to any form of racism, cheating, bullying, gross misconduct, damages or removing any equipment belonging to Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited will result in students being removed from the Course and any outstanding fees to be paid.
Students are expected to be punctual and arrive 15 minutes before the start of training. Training will commence promptly at the published times, irrespective of whether all students are present.
Attendance of training days is compulsory to achieving qualifications, you must have a minimum of 85% attendance. Failure to attend scheduled training can result in removal from a Course.
No allowance for lateness or absenteeism will be made except with prior consent given by Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited, who also reserve the right to dismiss any student giving justifiable cause for such action. Genuine reasons will be subject to the discretion of Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited.
It is the responsibility of the student to ‘catch up’ on education missed due to lateness or absenteeism for whatever reason. Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited will not provide additional teaching hours for students.
Use of mobile phones, e-cigarettes/vaporisers, smoking or chewing of gum is prohibited during training.
General
We accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of personal property. We encourage students to remain vigilant to their belongings during training and take all property with them when leaving. Students are therefore advised to leave jewellery, unnecessary valuables, or considerable amounts of money at home.
Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited shall not be liable to students for any breach of its obligations or termination under these terms and conditions arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, fires, floods, Acts of God, terrorism, strikes, delay caused by transport disputes, illness of the trainer, Government regulation. Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited is not responsible for any loss of travel or accommodation incurred in the event of a cancellation.
Portobello Aesthetics Training Academy Limited will be closed on all UK public holidays. If public holidays fall during a Course, no additional days will be added to the Course or reduction in fees given. The days will have been accounted for within our teaching.
Any booked holidays, planned weddings, and medical appointments, etc. must be discussed and agreed upon prior to enrolment. We recommend that all absences are avoided wherever possible.
If a student fails an exam, for any exam retakes there will be a retake fee. Any refresher training required will also be subject to a fee. If a student fails a written theory test, the first resit is free and with subsequent resits subject to a £20 fee thereafter.
