Course Description
The aesthetics industry is booming, and trained laser technicians are in high demand. This VTCT-accredited course delivers practical, clinic-based training and expert guidance to give you the skills and confidence to offer professional laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments, opening doors to new business, clinic roles, and advanced training.
Entry Requirements:
Minimum age for enrolment is 19 years.
While there are no formal qualifications required, we strongly recommend completing Beauty Therapy Level 3 or our Access to Aesthetic Therapies to get the most from your learning experience.
All learners must have a good command of the English language: able to speak, read, write and understand fluently.
What You’ll Need:
Uniform: To maintain a professional and hygienic working environment, students are required to wear a tunic, black trousers, and black flat closed-toe shoes during all training sessions.
Materials Provided: All tools, products and resources needed to complete your practical training and assessments are supplied by us. Simply turn up ready to learn and we’ll take care of the rest.
This comprehensive qualification is designed to give you both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to safely and effectively deliver laser and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments.
Key Units Covered:
Laser & Light Treatments for Hair Removal: Learn how to perform professional-grade laser and IPL hair reduction treatments on various skin types.
Laser & Light Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation: Gain the skills to address skin concerns such as pigmentation, fine lines, and acne scarring through advanced light-based therapies.
Client Care & Communication: Understand how to conduct client consultations, manage expectations, and deliver excellent aftercare.
Health, Safety & Security Management: Master essential industry protocols, from infection control to equipment maintenance and clinic safety procedures.
Assessments & Qualification: Your progress will be measured through a combination of:
Theory assignments

Clinical study sessions
Final examinations
On successful completion of all requirements, you’ll be awarded the VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and IPL Treatments, a nationally recognised and highly regarded qualification within the aesthetics industry.

Duration: 8 weeks
